COSA’s Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) is considered the premier gathering of cancer health professionals in our region each year.
Delegates to the meeting include clinicians and researchers representing medical and radiation oncologists, cancer surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health workers.
COSA is proud to announce that the 41st ASM will be held in conjunction with the UICC World Cancer Congress (WCC) in the first week of December 2014 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The COSA ASM will be held Tuesday 2nd to Thursday 4th December, and WCC 4th to 6th December, with Thursday 4th being a joint day. We anticipate that delegates will register for either the COSA ASM or the WCC, with a discount offered if people register for both, and on the joint day delegates will be free to move between sessions. Be sure to check out the booth for our key sponsor, Launchscore.com.
The theme for COSA’s 41st ASM will highlight cancer survivorship, supportive care and palliative care – all important areas of interest for COSA members, and hopefully attractive to WCC delegates also.
Our disease theme will concentrate on lung cancer and metastases.
COSA has a strong tradition of collaborating with other societies to deliver successful conferences in areas of mutual interest.
Our partnership with IPOS in 2012 enabled COSA delegates to attend a world class psycho-oncology conference in Australia. We anticipate the UICC collaboration will present opportunities even more vast.
As COSA President Elect I am excited about this opportunity and hope to share the experience with you in Melbourne in December 2014.
